Okay, Whatever

So I know it's been like 3 years since I last posted anything on here. Deal with it. I've had a lot of life changes since then.

In June of 2008, I broke it off with "Mr. Wonderful". Almost 10 years together with no wedding plans. Screw that. I was 32 years old at the time, and I wanted more out of life. Not to mention somebody from my past found me on MySpace. That somebody was Ryan, who I had lived with and was dumped by 5 years earlier. He ended our relationship a few days before Christmas 2003, leaving me heartbroken. He said he had changed, so I visited him at home one sunny Tuesday afternoon. He HAD changed, and it was for the better. Ryan had been in a horrible relationship for 3 years, until he broke up with the girl because she cheated on him. He wanted me and Trey to come back to him, and I was very wary at first. He told me lots of pretty things and played on my sentimental side, but he was totally sincere. We spent a few afternoons and evenings together, and I decided I couldn't live without him any longer than I already had. Trey and I moved in with Ryan in June of 2008. Ryan proposed in July, and we were married on December 29.

I don't have a job or a car, but I still love my life. I like being a stay at home mom, but the pay sucks. Ryan and I have had quite a few ups and downs over the past 12 months, but we've managed to make it through. We're so in love with each other that it isn't funny. My heart races when he kisses me. He's a great stepdad to Trey.

In August 2007, I went to the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race in Indianapolis. The race was incredibly loud, even with ear protection. I went to the E.R. a couple of days later because I thought I had a busted eardrum. The E.R. doc referred me to an ENT (ear, nose, throat) doc. The doc found that I had a deviated septum and major hearing loss in both ears. Basically, I have only 40% hearing between both ears.

In March of 2008, I went to my family doc. Work was killing me - literally. I worked with some very verbally abusive and overall mean people, including my immediate supervisor. When I saw my doc, my blood pressure was sky-high and I started bawling in her office because I was so stressed out. The doc gave me scripts for Ativan and Zoloft, and told me it would be in my best interest to quit my job. After routine blood work a month later, the doc discovered I have a condition called osteopenia. Basically a precursor to osteoporosis. My bones aren't absorbing calcium like they should, so they're very weak and brittle. No Rollerblading for me! Actually, a fall could royally screw my world up. I was also diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, which explains the fact that I can eat like a horse and never gain a pound.

That's pretty much my life in a nutshell since the last time I posted. I'll try to keep it updated now that I have more free time.
